For over a century, Beatrix Potter’s enchanting tales have delighted readers of all ages. In 2016, to mark the 150th anniversary of her birth, a special coin collection was launched, celebrating her life and four beloved characters. The series continued in 2018 with the release of The Tailor of Gloucester 50p coin.

This design features one of the helpful mice from the story, sitting cross-legged on a cotton reel, complete with tiny glasses and a newspaper.
