On the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, ten statues of royal beasts stand as proud emblems of the union between Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. Originally carved in stone, these majestic guardians have been recreated on coins in a remarkable bullion collection from The Royal Mint. The eighth release in the collection features the Queen’s Lion.

David Lawrence’s bold rendering of the lion graces the reverse of the coin, which is enhanced by surface animation that adds visual intrigue and enhances security.

Featuring the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse, the coin is not only available as a 2oz edition struck in 999.9 fine silver to Bullion standard but also as a 10oz silver edition, as well as in fine platinum and gold editions.
